The Red Brick Center for the Arts is excited to showcase a collection of paintings by Eric Elliott. In his art, Eric explores visual perception and representation through the genre of still life paintings. Using repetition, Eric paints the same objects in various styles including impressionism, digital pixelation, and abstraction. One of the key features of his work is his attention to the subtleties of light and shadow. According to Eric, he views the objects in his compositions as an interconnected network of abstract shapes, where subtle differences offer diverse interpretations, much like different translations of a poem.
