City of Aspen Art Cart Competition creation workshop

Join us at the Red Brick Center for the Arts for fun and social art-making evenings. Whether you have art experience or not, come create during our evening sessions and enjoy a complimentary glass of wine or beer. Participants must be 21 years of age or older.

Challenge yourself and invite some of your friends to join in the fun to create a vessel to compete in Art Cart! The City of Aspen is bringing back a competition that started in the 80s and invokes great memories to those who competed or watched! In this two-hour workshop, you can work on the body of your vessel or complete your vessel with paint and other found objects to make it fun!

This workshop is for the serious-minded creative pranksters that are brave enough to enter this fun “competition”. The event will take place on the snowy hill by the Aspen Recreation Center, a SchneeTag, which is German for “Snow Day”. Skis, snowboards or wheels or feet, can be used to get your Cart over the finish line, anything but a motor!
