Mindy Vernon

My paintings are a celebration of joy and color, inspired by the breathtaking beauty of the Aspen landscape. Surrounded by nature, I explore the interplay of light, shadow, and motion to create vibrant, joyful pieces.

A lifelong artist, I earned my BFA from the University of Colorado, Boulder. As a resident artist at the Red Brick Center for the Arts, I've had the privilege of sharing my passion with the community through exhibitions, private lessons, and public plein-air events. My work has been featured at The Aspen Saturday Market since 2018, and this year I received the City of Aspen’s Inaugural Cultural Vibrancy Fellowship Award. I’ve also completed several private commissions, including large-scale murals for an Aspen residence and Lindsay's Boulder Deli at Haagen-Dasz.

It's incredibly rewarding to know that my art brings happiness to others. My goal is to create pieces that evoke a sense of optimism and inspire a connection to the natural world.
